Horizontal Grain Natural
Moso bamboo stalks are cut into one inch wide strips and layed flat or horizontally.
AKA "Flat Grain"
Horizontal Grain Amber
Moso bamboo stalks are cut into one inch wide strips and layed flat or horizontally. Heat and pressure are applied which force the sugar in the bamboo to carmelize, creating an amber color.
AKA "Carbonized or Carmelized"
Vertical Grain Natural
Moso bamboo stalks are cut into one quarter inch thick strips and layed on edge or vertically.
AKA "Edge Grain"
Vertical Grain Amber
Moso bamboo stalks are cut into one quarter inch thick strips and layed on edge or vertically. Heat and pressure are then applied which force the sugar in the bamboo to carmelize, crating an amber color.
Honey Woven
Moso bamboo strands are pressed into panels to create strand woven bamboo.

Tiger Woven
Moso bamboo strands are pressed into panels to create strand woven bamboo. Both honey (or "natural") and amber (or "carmelized") strands are woven together to create tiger woven bamboo.
